Municipality Resita together with its partner City of Pancevo represented their joint project “Energy efficiency-The Premise of a Better Environment in Romania-Serbia Cross-Border Area” at the conference “New technologies and sustainable cities” the within the event “Energy Week” in Belgrade, Serbia.This event was organized by the City of Belgrade and Central European Development Forum (CEDEF) with the support of the Ministry of Mining and Energy, held for the first time during the European energy days.
Mrs. Andjela Vila from the Secretariat for Economy and Economic Development of the City of Pancevo and Mr. Rares Gantolea responsible for projects and international relations in the Mayor of Resita Cabinet resented their project worth € 1,353,167. funded by the European Union through the INTERREG IPA CBC Program Romania-Serbia.
Within this project, the Sports and Health complex in Resita will install solar panels domestic hot water DHW, which will reduce gas consumption for 26.600m³ / annually, and 54.200kg of CO2 / annually for water heating.The Sports Hall in Pancevo will install a new system for heating and cooling of the building, insulate walls and roof and replace the joinery. These works will enable the building to go from Energy grade E to grade C.
